A "parti" colored Poodle is one with more than one color in their coat and is not a solid color at the skin. The term 'parti' can include what many of us think of as parti which is a white base coat with colored spots, it can also include what we call phantom, which is a Poodle with the same markings we see when we look at a Doberman Pinscher or Rottweiler, it can also include brindle which we often see in the Boxer breed and also sable which is a lighter base coat with black or other dark colorations on the tips of the hair.
